Principal’s Award

The Principal’s award is presented in May  and is an award given in 9th through 12th grade to one student from each grade level who has made the Dean’s List, has the highest GPA, does not have behavior infractions for the entire year, and exemplifies our core virtues.

Academic Lettering

An Upper School Academic Letter is awarded to those students in 10th grade or higher who reflect a GPA of 3.5 (87.5%) or higher for two semesters (consecutive or non-consecutive) at LTA. Semesters for consideration are while the student is in attendance at LTA only, with the opportunity to be awarded one academic pin per school year once the letter has been earned.

National Honor Society

National Honor Society membership is offered to students in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.65 (85%) and who show strength in areas of leadership, character, and service. Candidates are nominated in the fall and in the spring of each school year and are invited to join. After submission of an application and membership fee, a final review of the application, and vote by the NHS faculty council, an induction ceremony is held where membership becomes official. The NHS Constitution can be reviewed here for additional policies.
